I had the pleasure of capturing an incredible snowy and adventurous engagement session for Aaron and Larissa. They’ve booked me for their wedding in September and as part of their package, they also received a complimentary engagement session! I love including these sessions in my packages as it gives us a chance to get to know each other before the big day! When Aaron and Larissa first got in touch with me, they told me about their love for fishing and Colorado. So, I helped them brainstorm locations that could encapsulate these passions. After sending them a custom location guide, they fell in love with two spots in Estes Park. One is the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park and the other, is a beautiful river that flows into Lake Estes, one of their favorite fishing spots!

Snowy and Adventurous Engagement Session

On the day of the shoot, we were met with some seriously cold weather. I’m talking snow falling on the top of the mountain, body-numbing kind of cold! But let me tell you, Aaron and Larissa were absolute troopers! They braved the cold, and the results are just amazing! I made sure to bring hand warmers for them in between shots so that they could still feel their fingers lol. But, let me tell you it was worth it! Because the photos turned out amazing.

An extra special guest at our shoot was their adorable dog, Midge. Oh, and let’s not forget their sweet son Uriah! Midge was having the time of her life in the snow, drilling her face into it and rolling around. Looking back on this day, I’m filled with so much joy. Despite the cold, we had such a good time, and the photos truly reflect Aaron and Larissa’s love for each other, and their shared love for Colorado and fishing. I can’t wait to capture their wedding in September. If it’s anything like this engagement shoot, it’s going to be amazing!
