When Brittanie first found me on TikTok, she loved my personality and work . She saw my work, felt the vibe, and knew I had to be the one to photograph her and Eric’s classy Colorado elopement. These two flew in from Texas to say their vows surrounded by snowy mountains, their sweet kiddos, and their closest family. From the private getting ready moments at their cozy Airbnb to a windswept ceremony above a frozen reservoir, every second of this day felt intentional, elegant, and full of heart!
The day started slowly and beautifully, Brittanie in a sheer-sleeved robe, handwriting her vows by the window with the Colorado mountains peeking in like quiet witnesses. The light poured in like a hug while she got ready, her hair curled just right, makeup soft and glowy, and that dress? so chic. Minimalist with a twist, like something out of a modern fairytale. Meanwhile, Eric got ready separately, making space for that sacred anticipation that comes from saving the first look for the ceremony. Every detail, down to the florals and jewelry, felt personal and elevated, proof that classy doesn’t mean overdone; it means curated with care.
Montgomery Dam Reservoir is one of those places that feels like it was built for poetry. Frozen over, surrounded by jagged cliffs and pine trees, it gave Brittanie and Eric’s ceremony the drama of a movie set, but with all the softness of a family love story. Brittanie walked down the aisle with grace, and their officiant stood with them on a woven rug, grounding the moment in warmth despite the cold. They exchanged vows that cracked open the room. Tears, laughter, and beautiful moments. Their kids watched with wide eyes. It wasn’t just about two people getting married, it was a whole family becoming even more deeply knit together. This wasn’t just a classy Colorado elopement, it was a legacy moment.
After the ceremony, we explored the icy landscape together. Brittanie wrapped up in the coziest faux fur coat (winter brides, take notes), bouquet in hand, arm linked with her new husband. The snow sparkled around them, and the way they looked at each other? Straight-up swoon-worthy. There’s something magic about post-ceremony portraits, the nerves are gone, the joy is loud, and you can feel the shift in energy. These two held each other like the world melted away around them!
The party moved to the Vue Rooftop in Dillon, and let me tell you, this was no stiff sit-down dinner. The space was warm and glowy with those mountain views still stealing the show out every window. As the sun dipped behind the peaks, it lit the sky on fire and made every rooftop portrait look like it belonged on a postcard. Inside, there were cocktails clinking, kids spinning in their little dresses, and Brittanie and Eric dancing like they didn’t have a care in the world. The playlist was on point, the food was delicious, and the whole vibe was celebratory without ever feeling overwhelming. The cakes? Impeccable. The company? Even better!
Brittanie and Eric’s wedding day was everything an elopement should be, intentional, beautiful, unfussy but unbelievably special. It was a reminder that you can include your family, keep it stylish, and still make the whole day feel like you. From the mountaintop vows to the rooftop reception, this classy Colorado elopement was filled with meaning, memories, and magic.
