I had the joy of capturing a moody couple session at Jekyll Island, Georgia, for Rilie and Brandon, an amazing couple who have been together for an amazing ten years! Can you believe it? Ten years! They decided to celebrate their milestone with professional photos, a first for them, and I was so happy to be their chosen photographer! The location was a special one for Rilie and Brandon. Both of them love Jekyll Island, and it was their first choice for the photo session. I have to admit, it has been ages since I last visited the place. I was not quite sure what to expect, but when I saw the location with my own eyes, I was SHOCKED. The driftwood trees on the beach were unlike anything I had seen before, far surpassing the ones I’d encountered on Florida’s beaches. It was an incredibly picturesque setting!

Playful & Moody Couple Session

The couple’s session was split into two parts to capture the different aspects of their relationship. We started with a casual outfit for Rilie and Brandon, focusing on capturing their playful, fun-loving relationship. They chased each other around, climbed trees, and even played ring around the rosies! It was beautiful to see them being so carefree and just having fun together. Then Rilie changed into a stunning blue dress from Free People. I must say, she looked stunning! This part of the session was slower and more reflective, capturing the depth of their relationship over the past ten years. We explored the beach some more and truly had a great time together.

But what makes this session even more special is the relationship I’ve built with Rilie and her family. I’ve known Rilie since middle school, can you believe it? Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing her dad and stepmom’s wedding, her younger sister’s senior photos, and now, Rilie and Brandon’s relationship. It’s just so heartwarming to see clients coming back to me for their significant life moments. I simply love what I do!
